IT Technician - Asset Handling (Contract) - Bathgate, West Lothian (onsite) 3 Months (likely extension) up to £30 per hour, Early September start THE ROLE: We're recruiting on behalf of a global pharmaceutical organisation for an IT Technician to join their IT asset management team on a 3 month contract, based onsite in Bathgate. This is a hands-on, device handling role. You won't be dealing with end users or support tickets. Instead, you'll join a small, focused team processing, wiping and preparing IT equipment ahead of reuse, resale or disposal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Handling and processing IT assets (laptops, monitors, peripherals) Wiping and resetting devices in line with data security processes and provided scripts Checking equipment in and out and keeping accurate asset records Preparing devices for reuse, resale or secure disposal Liaising with third-party vendors to arrange collection of decommissioned equipment Travelling to other client sites when needed to prepare and hand over devices for collectionABOUT YOU Previous hands-on IT technician experience (great for someone in their first or second technical role) A relevant qualification (e.g. IT diploma) and solid working knowledge of laptops/hardware Comfortable booting, troubleshooting and following a script to wipe and prepare a device Reliable, methodical and happy working as part of a small on-site team Able to commit to onsite work in Bathgate for the contract durationWHY APPLY Immediate contract start with a leading global organisation Join an established, friendly team with clear day-to-day processes Competitive hourly rate, Inside IR35Apply now for immediate consideration
