Job Title: Joiner Responsible To: Niall McLaughlin Operations Manager Status: 45 hours per week (8amto5.15pmdaily-MondaytoFriday) Pay: Up to £18 per hour, depending on experience Location: Redbay Boats Limited, 1 Gortaclee Road, Cushendall, Co.
Antrim, BT44 OTE Job Role: This position will involve working closely under the guidance of highly experienced fitters and boat builders.
The successful candidate will be expected to learn established methods, techniques and standards that are specific to Redbay Boats.
Given the nature of our work, the standard of finish is critical
- much of what is fitted remains visible and accessible to the customer, meaning a consistently high standard of workmanship, neatness and attention to detail is essential from the outset.
Key Responsibilities: Construct,fitandfinishtimberandcompositejoinerythroughouttheboat,including consoles, lockers, seating and cabinetry.
Measure,markout,cutandshapematerialstofinetolerancesfromdrawingsand templates.
Fitandaligndeckhardware,trims,hatchesandancillaryfittingstoahighstandardof finish.
Assistwithgeneralboatbuildingtasks,includingtheassemblyandinstallationofconsoles, seating,deckhardwareandancillaryequipment.
Workcloselywithlaminating,fittingandelectricaltradestosequencejoineryinstallationaround other systems.
Readandworkfromdrawings,schematicsandbuildspecifications.
LearnandapplyRedbayBoats'establishedmethods,techniquesandqualitystandards.
Maintainaconsistentlyhighstandardofworkmanship,neatnessandfinish.
Carryoutfittingchecksandadjustmentsoncompletedjoineryundersupervision.
Keeptools,equipmentandtheworkareaclean,organisedandsafe.
Workflexiblyacrosstheproductionteamandsupportcolleaguesasrequired.
