- Holy Cross Hospital (full time) Full-time: 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, including alternate weekends Salary: £12.71 per hour (enhanced weekend and Bank Holiday rate) Closing Date: 7 th August 2026 however will close earlier if an applicant is appointed sooner.
An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our team as a full- time kitchen assistant.
We are open to exploring job share arrangements for the full-time role and welcome applications from those interested in flexible working We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy catering team.
This is an important role that helps ensure patients, visitors and staff receive high-quality meals in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with food preparation, meal service, cleaning duties and maintaining high standards of food hygiene.
Key Responsibilities Support the catering team with basic food preparation tasks.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, dining and food service areas.
Wash kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery.
Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures at all times.
Assist with stock rotation and storage of food supplies.
About you We are looking for someone who: Has a positive, friendly and hardworking attitude.
Enjoys working as part of a team.
Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Has good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Understands the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
Is reliable, flexible and willing to learn.
Previous catering or kitchen experience would be desirable but is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Our expertise is in the provision of neurorehabilitation for our patients. xwzovoh
We presently have 42 in patient beds and provide OP Physiotherapy for the local community.
