We are recruiting for an experienced Colchester Lathe Operator to join a growing aerospace manufacturing business on a long-term PAYE contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, producing high-quality components to exacting aerospace standards. You will be responsible for setting and operating Colchester lathes, working from engineering drawings, and ensuring all work meets strict quality requirements. Basic: £18.13 p/h (Accrued Holiday) | £20.77 p/h (Advanced Holiday) Overtime: £27.20 p/h (Accrued Holiday) | £31.15 p/h (Advanced Holiday) Sundays: £36.26 p/h (Accrued Holiday) | £41.54 p/h (Advanced Holiday) Basic: £18.68 p/h (Accrued Holiday) | £21.40 p/h (Advanced Holiday) Overtime: £28.03 p/h (Accrued Holiday) | £32.10 p/h (Advanced Holiday) Sundays: £37.37 p/h (Accrued Holiday) | £42.80 p/h (Advanced Holiday) Manufacture components to engineering drawings and specifications. Conduct in-process inspections using standard measuring equipment. Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy. Adhere to all health, safety and aerospace quality procedures. Support continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing team. Previous experience operating Colchester lathes within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Long-term PAYE contract. Contract running until June 2027 with strong potential for extension. Full training provided.
