Lead Mechanical Engineer (Product Group Leader)

This market leading company who design & manufacture specialist products for RenewableEnergy sector are looking for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team and become a Product Group Lead!

The successful Lead Mechanical Design Engineer will have a proven track record delivering high-quality engineering solutions along with strong leadership and coaching skills. Key duties include full lifecycle design, leading design reviews, checking drawings, resource allocation, verification & validation, and project management.

As a Lead engineer, you will also become a subject matter expert for your product group and will get to shape and influence the future of your business unit as the company continues to grow and expand!

Lead Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven track record as a Senior/Lead Engineer
• Strong simulation skills (ideally with OrcaFlex)
• Sound knowledge of 1st principles
• Team leadership experience
• Energy/Renewables industry experience (highly desirable)
