RecruitME is recruiting for an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of planned works and property-improvement contracts across the North West.

Opportunity to mentor Quantity Surveyors, Graduates and Trainees
As Lead Quantity Surveyor, you will: Take full commercial responsibility for multiple planned maintenance, refurbishment and retrofit contracts
Lead, mentor and develop Quantity Surveyors, Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Graduates and Trainees
Manage CVRs, WIP, forecasting, cost control, cash flow and commercial risk
Oversee tendering, subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments and final accounts
Work closely with operational teams to protect margins and improve contract performance
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate commercial reporting and KPI performance
Visit sites regularly to ensure commercial information reflects operational delivery
What were looking for At least five years Quantity Surveying experience
Experience within social housing, planned works, refurbishment, property services or retrofit
Previous responsibility for multiple contracts or high-volume workstreams
Strong knowledge of CVRs, WIP, forecasting and cost reporting
Experience managing subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts
Strong commercial negotiation and client-management skills
Confidence leading and developing junior commercial staff
Full UK driving licence
A BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Knowledge of JCT, NEC or SBCC contracts, measurement software and advanced Excel would also be beneficial.
Relevant backgrounds This opportunity may suit candidates currently working as a: Lead Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Managing Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Planned Works Quantity Surveyor, Social Housing Quantity Surveyor, Refurbishment Quantity Surveyor or Retrofit Quantity Surveyor.
Location The role is based in Warrington and may be commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Widnes, St Helens, Wigan, Altrincham, Knutsford, Northwich and surrounding areas.
