Lead Speech and Language Therapist Tonbridge, Kent | starting £49,387 per annum | Full-time, 37.5 hours NHS - band 7 or upper band 6 Benefits Senior Band 7-level opportunity Specialist neurorehabilitation and acquired brain injury setting Opportunity to lead and develop the SLT service Clinical leadership and supervision responsibilities Work with a highly complex caseload Opportunity to contribute to service development, audit and clinical governance The role - Lead Speech and Language Therapist We are looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist operating at Band 7 level, or an experienced upper Band 6 ready to step up, to lead the SLT service within a specialist neurorehabilitation setting. You will provide advanced assessment and treatment for patients with complex neurological presentations, including acquired and traumatic brain injury, communication difficulties, dysphagia and tracheostomies. You will also provide clinical leadership to the SLT team, including supervision, training, clinical governance, service development and support with audit and research. About you We are looking for an HCPC-registered Lead Speech and Language Therapist with strong experience in neurorehabilitation and complex neurological presentations. Ideally, you will have: Neurorehabilitation | Acquired Brain Injury | Dysphagia | Communication Disorders | Cognitive Communication | Clinical Leadership | Supervision | MDT Working | Service Development Previous experience leading a team is desirable, but an experienced upper Band 6 SLT with the right clinical skills and leadership potential will also be considered.
