About us
Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) provides care and support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We're looking for an organised and proactive Learning, Development and Education (LD&E) Coordinator to join our People and Culture team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administration and coordination skills who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
What you'll be doing
Coordinate learning and development activities across the organisation
Manage training schedules, bookings and learning calendars
Liaise with internal and external training providers, venues and stakeholders
Maintain accurate learning and training records and databases
Monitor training attendance and completion rates
Collate training feedback and share outcomes with relevant stakeholders
Produce routine reports and administrative information for the LD&E team
Coordinate resources, materials and equipment needed for training events
Act as first point of contact for learning and development enquiries
Support the organisation and administration of learning events, workshops and meetings
Ensure all activities align with organisational policies, procedures and budget parameters
You'll work closely with the Head of Learning, Development and Education to keep learning provision well organised, compliant and responsive to the needs of the workforce. Your main base will be one of the Hospice sites, with some home-working and occasional travel to other South West locations as required.
What you'll bring
Experience in a busy administrative or coordination role
Strong organisational and planning skills
Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience maintaining accurate records and databases
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative, customer-focused approach
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in a care or similar environment is an advantage, though not essential
