Learning Mentor (KS3 & KS4) | Alternative Provision Location: Stroud Pay: £90-£115 per day + Holiday Pay (12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot) Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term We're recruiting a Learning Mentor to join a welcoming Alternative Provision in Stroud, supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who benefit from additional guidance both in and out of the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential. What you'll be doing Providing one-to-one and small group mentoring to students. Supporting students to engage positively with learning and develop confidence, resilience and independence. Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted role model. Promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and effective coping strategies. Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals to support individual learning and behaviour plans. Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Supporting educational visits and off-site activities where required. What we're looking for At least 30 days' experience working with children or young people.
