Learning Support Assistant - Animal Care and Land Management
Leeds City College are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team in the Animal Care and Land Management department. The post holder will work closely with all staff in a wide-ranging role designed to help our learners’ progress during practical and theory lessons.
This role is part time 28 hours per week and reduced year 36 weeks per year. The pro rata salary is £16,539.
This role will be predominantly be based at Temple Newsam but on occasion their might be the requirement to also work at other campuses such as Printworks or the University Centre. This role includes supporting both practical and theory lessons with the department based in a working farm and historical estate, so the successful candidate should like animals and be comfortable in a land-based real work environment.
The School of Animal Care and Land Management offers a wide range of study programmes, apprenticeships and Higher Education (HE). From September we will be delivering courses from entry to level 6. This role will be working with Further Education (FE) students.

- Support teachers in the delivery or practical and theory lessons
- Put in place interventions for whole groups or individual learners to help and support learners both academically and developmentally.
