The opportunity as a Learning support assistant: You will engage with and support learners who are struggling in the classroom with their course work. Many of these children come from difficult backgrounds where they have struggled with stress, anxiety and learning difficulties. as you can imagine concentrating and staying focused can be extremely challenging Your job will be to support these learners during the school day and help them stay on task Not only will you be there for them academically, you will also support the students emotionally and help them process their emotions in a healthy wayThe successful Learning Support Assistant: You should be passionate about making a difference and helping these children achieve their goals You must be patient and proactive You must have some experience working with children, either in a classroom or other capacity You must have a valid DBS certificate or be willing to apply for oneIndividuals who are working towards a career in psychology, education or any other related field are most welcome to apply.
