Have you ever considered supporting the Teaching and Learning of children and young people who have Special Needs?

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join our hardworking and friendly team, working to support our special needs children Age 3-19 years covering a whole range of complex needs including ASD, SLD, PMLD and challenging behaviour.

INTERVIEW DAY -

ARRIVE 9.15am - Meet the Head Teacher.

9.30am - 1.00pm Classroom based

1.00pm Lunch (please remember to bring your own lunch)

1.30pm - Interviews start. - times will be allocated on arrival.

WORKING HOURS - Monday - Friday term time only plus all 5 inset days split as follows:

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8.50 am - 3.20 pm with a 45min unpaid lunch Tuesday 8.50 am - 3:20pm with a 45 minute unpaid lunch. Every other week the finish time will be 4:20pm as staff have to attend a staff meeting. Friday 8.50 am - 1.10 pm - with a 30 minute unpaid break - all students leave site at this time.


There will be training every Monday and Thursday 3.20 pm- 4.20 pm - during your training period which will be paid for as an overtime .

Starting salary - Essex Pay Structure Scale 3, point 6 (Pro Rata) depending on experience

Starting salary £16,889 including inner fringe.


Experience not needed in house training provided.

The successful candidate will need to:

  • hold a relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above

  • Have some experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs

  • Have a caring nature

  • Be able to communicate effectively with children and adults

  • Be able to work as part of a team
