Learning Support Assistants for Primary School

1:1 Learning Support Assistant / LSA (ASD) Mainstream Primary School – Devizes, Wiltshire Full-Time | Until End of Academic Year (with potential to continue) £95–£115 per day (depending on experience) We’re working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Devizes who are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant / LSA to support a pupil with Autism (ASD) and some associated challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding role in a supportive school that takes inclusion seriously. The child requires consistency, patience and someone confident in setting clear boundaries while building a positive, trusting relationship. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider support staff to help the pupil access learning, manage emotions and feel secure within the school environment. Providing 1:1 support within the classroom * Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management * Implementing strategies from EHCP targets * The school is looking for someone who: * Has experience supporting children with ASD * Is confident managing challenging behaviour calmly and consistently * Team Teach or similar behaviour management training would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
