We are seeking a Lecturer - Course Leader - Engineering to join our team. In this role you will, teach and assess practical engineering subjects, supported and underpinned by relevant theoretical knowledge, across Level 2, Level 3, and apprenticeship programmes. The role also includes responsibility for course leadership, as well as contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of the engineering curriculum within the department. Lecturer - Course Leader - Engineering Full Time, Permanent Plan, prepare, deliver and assess both practical and theoretical engineering sessions across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, including full-time and apprenticeship learners. Deliver engaging teaching and learning activities tailored to meet the needs of individual learners, programmes and the wider curriculum, while maintaining accurate attendance records and promoting positive learner behaviour. Conduct regular progress reviews (every 8-12 weeks) with apprentices and employers in the workplace, ensuring progress aligns with key milestones and agreed apprenticeship training plans. Maintain high expectations of learner performance, commitment and behaviour, taking appropriate action to uphold excellent standards. Actively promote the Institute's provision by attending open evenings, careers events, school visits and other marketing and engagement activities. Continuously evaluate and enhance the quality of teaching and learning through active participation in the College's quality improvement, development and observation processes. Industrial experience within the engineering sector. Level 3 or above professional Engineering qualification.
