Up to £35,000 | Office Based
TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a specialist law firm in West Yorkshire that is looking to appoint a Legal Cashier to join its established finance team based in Castleford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier who enjoys working in a busy, collaborative environment and is looking to join a well-respected firm with a strong reputation in its specialist field.
While experience within a Personal Injury practice would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from Legal Cashiers who have worked across other areas of law and have a solid understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
The Role
You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the firm's finance function, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
Processing client and office account transactions
Posting receipts and payments
Managing electronic bank payments and transfers
Performing daily bank reconciliations
Handling client account queries
Processing CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payments
Assisting with billing and completion statements where required
Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
Supporting the wider finance team with month-end procedures and ad hoc duties
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Previous Legal Cashier experience within a law firm
A sound understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
A proactive and team-focused approach
Experience within a Personal Injury firm would be beneficial but is not essential
