Legal Counsel – UK & Ireland

London | Hybrid | £75,000–£90,000 + bonus

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for a talented commercial lawyer to join a high-calibre, best-in-class legal team within a successful and growing international business.

The team is led by an exceptional General Counsel and Head of Legal, alongside two highly experienced lawyers, all with impressive legal pedigrees and a reputation for delivering excellent work. You will be surrounded by lawyers who are technically strong, commercially astute and genuinely excellent at what they do.

The work is equally compelling. This is not a high-volume contract review role; you will be exposed to complex, cerebral and commercially interesting matters, including sophisticated negotiations and bespoke agreements that often need to be drafted from scratch.

You will work closely with the GC and Head of Legal, while having genuine ownership of your own matters and direct exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.

The Role

• Draft, negotiate and advise on a broad range of complex commercial agreements.
• Create bespoke contracts from scratch and manage sophisticated negotiations.
• Advise senior stakeholders on complex commercial and legal issues.
• Support procurement, technology, marketing, operations and wider strategic initiatives.
• Work on new products, services and partnerships where there may be no established precedent.
• Support the wider legal team on corporate, regulatory and strategic matters.
• Develop into a trusted commercial adviser to the business.

About You

We are looking for a bright, intellectually curious and commercially minded lawyer with strong commercial contracts experience ideally 4 - 5 years pqe.

You will ideally have excellent drafting and negotiation skills, experience handling complex or non-standard matters, strong commercial judgement and the confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders. xwzovoh
