With a mix of full and part-time hours available, we will have a job that suits your needs.Your new roleTeaching Assistants play a crucial role in the learning journey for pupils, offering support to the class teacher where they have groups or individuals in the class who need extra help or a more tailored approach.Typical day-to-day duties include:Liaising with the class teacher on the plan for the dayHelping set up the classroom and organise relevant resourcesSupporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis once the lesson is underway, ensuring they understand their work and make the relevant progressSupporting pupils who are upset, anxious or struggling emotionallyAssist with marking and record keepingProvide feedback to teachers and parents on pupil's progress and behaviourFollow safeguarding and child protection proceduresMonitor pupils during break times, lunchtimes, school trips and activitiesEnsure children remain safe and engaged throughout the school dayWhat you'll need to succeedAs well as your Level 2 qualification, you will also need a minimum of 20 days' experience working with school-age children in the last 2 years that we can reference.

You will be patient and empathetic with good literacy and numeracy skills.
