About the Opportunity

Yolk Legal is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing law firm with the appointment of a Lifetime Planning Solicitor to join its Private Client team in either Gloucester or Stroud.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm with ambitious plans for its Lifetime Planning offering, working alongside an established team and advising clients on some of the most important decisions they will make for themselves, their families and their businesses.

The firm places a strong emphasis on client relationships, quality of service and developing its people, making this an attractive opportunity for a solicitor looking to build a long-term career within Lifetime Planning.

The Role

You will advise a broad range of individuals, families and business owners on their future planning and asset protection needs.

The role will involve taking a holistic approach to each client, understanding their wider circumstances and objectives and providing clear, practical advice tailored to their individual needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Advising on succession and estate planning.
  • Identifying wider planning requirements and potential risks for clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong professional network.
  • Contributing to business development and networking activity.
  • Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.
  • Playing an active role in the continued development of the firm's Lifetime Planning offering.

About You

We are looking for a qualified solicitor with experience in Lifetime Planning / Private Client work who is confident dealing directly with clients and wants to develop their career within a growing team.

You will ideally be:

  • Experienced in Lifetime Planning, with a good grounding in Wills, Trusts and LPAs.
  • Client-focused, approachable and able to build strong, trusted relationships.
  • Comfortable explaining complex legal matters in a clear and accessible way.
  • Commercially aware and able to understand the wider needs of clients.
  • Proactive in developing relationships and professional networks.
  • A strong communicator with good emotional intelligence.
  • Collaborative and supportive in your approach.
  • Keen to contribute to business development and the growth of the wider team.

The firm is particularly interested in individuals who take a holistic approach to client service and want to build lasting relationships rather than simply dealing with individual instructions.
