Litigation Lawyer (Corporate Governance)
Salary: £40,777 - £50,269 (Band 8-10) plus market supplement of £2,080 pro rata
Location: Trafford Town Hall, Manchester, M32 0TH
Contract: Permanent
Working arrangements: Full time (36 hours) Hybrid Working (1 day in the office)
Overview of the Litigation Lawyer role
Sellick Partnership is excited to be partnering with Trafford Council who are currently looking for a Litigation Lawyer to join their busy Litigation Legal Team on a hybrid working basis. Benefits available alongside the Litigation Lawyer position include
- General annual leave entitlement - 26 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 31 after 5 years with the option to buy up to 10 extra days per annum.
Key responsibilities of the Litigation Lawyer will include
- The Litigation Legal Team sits alongside a Corporate Legal Team and covers wide and vast areas of law, providing the postholder an opportunity to learn and develop new skills and expertise in the following areas:
- Criminal and Civil Litigation including advocacy
- Licensing law and public protection
Required experience/qualifications of the Litigation Lawyer position will include
- You will be a qualified solicitor, barrister, or Chartered Lawyer / Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives holding a current practising certificate.
- Developing and advising on a wide range of high-level complex and sensitive work.
