Job summary
We are seeking a motivated doctor to lead the development and rollout of an electronic portfolio for locally employed doctors (LEDs) and advanced practitioners.
About the Role
- Develop a structured portfolio to support training, supervision, and career progression
- Design competency frameworks, assessments, and reflective tools
- Support LEDs and international medical graduates (IMGs) with equitable access to development
- Work with clinical and education teams to drive engagement and improve training quality
- Align the portfolio with workforce priorities, retention, and future consultant development

Person specification
Experience/ Qualifications
Essential
- oBasic medical degree
- oEligible to enter ST3+
- otraining in chosen specialty
- oFull GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- oBreadth of experience in appraisal and medical education e.g. training and supervision of doctors, students and other healthcare professionals
- oKnowledge of assessment methods
- oExperience as a representative
- oProven ability to contribute to effective multidisciplinary teams Positive attitude towards multiprofessional working
- oExperience of teaching & training, including medical trainees, students of all healthcare disciplines and allied health professionals
Desirable
- oPostgraduate medical education, leadership or management qualification (PGCert, Diploma, Masters)
- oExperience in leadership or management within a formal role or as part of a team in related activity
- oTeam or service-based quality improvement work as a project or part of a programme
Communication
Desirable
- oPresentations at local, regional and national conferences
- oPublications in local, national and international journals and other non-peer reviewed work
People Management and Development
Essential
- oEvidence of understanding of management of change
- oAbility to manage risk and change
- oEvidence of good organisational and leadership skills
