Job summary

In February 2014 all in-patient vascular beds were reconfigured to Cheltenham General Hospital. A newly built (2014) hybrid interventional vascular surgery and radiology suite, where a combination of endovascular and open vascular procedures is undertaken, helped to deliver this service. The vascular unit has also been commissioned to accept all arterial elective and emergency work from Swindon and North Wiltshire, for patients who would formerly have been referred to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. This reflects the area covered by the Gloucestershire and Swindon AAA screening programme.
