Logistics Manager Location: Blyth, North East England Sector: Data Centres / Mission Critical Project: £10bn Hyperscale Data Centre Campus Our client is a leading international main contractor delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale and mission-critical data centre developments. They are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join the delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England. This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and managing all site logistics activities, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of personnel, plant, materials and equipment across a complex, live construction environment. Working closely with project leadership, construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers and local stakeholders, you will develop and implement logistics strategies that support programme delivery, minimise disruption and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and operational efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead all site logistics operations across a major phase of the project Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans to support construction activities Coordinate deliveries, storage, material movements and site access to maintain programme efficiency Manage traffic management plans, haul roads, gate operations and vehicle movements Coordinate tower crane utilisation, lifting activities and logistics interfaces with the construction teams Oversee site welfare, laydown areas, temporary facilities and logistics compounds Manage logistics subcontractors, banksmen, traffic marshals and site logistics personnel Work closely with procurement, commercial and construction teams to ensure timely material availability Coordinate with local authorities and external stakeholders where required Monitor logistics performance, identify risks and implement improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards across all logistics operations Produce logistics reports, look-ahead plans and progress updates for project leadership Support commissioning activities and the phased handover of completed facilities Requirements Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on major construction projects Previous experience delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, major industrial or large-scale infrastructure projects Strong understanding of construction logistics planning within complex, fast-paced environments Experience managing logistics subcontractors, traffic management and site operations Knowledge of lifting operations, crane coordination and material handling strategies Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities SMSTS and CSCS qualifications Logistics or Construction Management qualification desirable Experience working within large multidisciplinary project teams Package Highly competitive salary + comprehensive package Rotation / Accommodation / Living allowance / Travel allowance Bonus / Car allowance / Private healthcare / Enhanced pension / Life assurance Long-term opportunity on one of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developments This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant construction programmes and play a key role in the successful delivery of a landmark £10bn, 10-year hyperscale data centre campus .
