Job Title: Press Operator Location: Kettering Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour, increasing to £13.33 per hour after 12 weeks About the Role We are looking for a reliable and motivated Press Operator to join our production team. This role involves operating label press machinery to produce high-quality labels, carrying out quality inspections, and preparing finished products for dispatch. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Operate label press machinery to produce blank labels and convert printed materials. Read and understand production job sheets. Set up cutters, magnetic cylinders, web guides, and slitting knives. Adjust machine settings to achieve optimum production speeds while maintaining quality. Operate the press computer to input production settings. Monitor production and remove any faults or defects during the manufacturing process. Carry out quality inspections throughout production. Pack and box finished products according to job specifications. Accurately complete production paperwork, including production times and any amendments to job sheets. Perform routine daily machine maintenance. Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe. Report equipment faults and production issues to the Production Supervisor. Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and production processes.Candidate Requirements Previous experience operating production or manufacturing machinery is desirable. Ability to follow written instructions and job sheets accurately. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify production faults. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable with a positive attitude and good time keeping.
