Machine Operative - Timber Manufacturing

As the company manufactures heavy fire doors, you must be physically fit and comfortable with the regular manual handling of large, heavy timber products. * Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm * Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm * 41.5 hours paid after breaks * Overtime available ** Hourly rate dependent on experience ** Initially, this is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate, based on performance, reliability and business requirements. Their work includes reception desks, retail displays, counters, cabinetry, wall panelling, doors and bespoke furniture for sectors such as retail, offices and public buildings. They are recognised for their high standards of craftsmanship and investment in quality manufacturing. THE ROLE You will be responsible for loading and unloading machinery used to sand high quality doors and fire doors, ensuring materials are handled safely and production runs efficiently. You will carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process and work closely with the production team to ensure every product meets the company’s exceptionally high standards.
