Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator to join their dynamic team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment focused on manufacturing a wide variety of aircraft interiors products. Summary:
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with potential for extension and being made permanent!
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 16:00 and Friday: 07:00 to 12:00
Key Responsibilities:
As a Machine Operator, your day-to-day tasks will include:
Adhering to all health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and excellence in your work.
Running batches on CNC machines, including milling, turning, and 5-axis operations.
Performing part identification to ensure the traceability of all components and assembled parts.
Documenting work processes to support production schedules efficiently.
Using computer systems to record completed work accurately.
Packaging finished goods in compliance with industry standards for various transport methods.
Contributing to the achievement of business delivery and quality targets.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Being open to cross-training in other relevant skills as needed by the organisation.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
A solid background in engineering and operation of CNC machines.
A strong work ethic and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft software.
A solid understanding of safe working practises.
