Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Electrician Location: University Campus, Cardiff (CF24 4HQ) Salary: £43,306 + £2,500 shift allowance + overtime Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, alternating between days and nights – 7am–7pm The Role We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join an established on-site M&E team of 8 at a large university campus. This is a hands-on role covering both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical plant. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance * Diagnose and repair electrical faults across the site * Work on a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment * Ensure all maintenance is completed safely and to a high standard * Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime * Support the wider M&E team with general maintenance requirements * Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation * Work effectively as part of the on-site engineering team * Follow all relevant health & safety and site procedures About You * NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering * 18th Edition qualification * Minimum 3 years' FM experience, ideally within a similar environment * Strong electrical maintenance background * Clean room experience is desirable but not essential * Comfortable working a rotating days and nights shift pattern * Able to work independently as well as part of a wider M&E team Package & Benefits * £43,306 salary * £2,500 shift allowance * Overtime opportunities * 22 days' holiday, rising to 24 days after 5 years' service * 5.7% pension scheme * Free on-site parking * Staff referral scheme * Birthday voucher * Perkbox * Continued training and development support
