Maintenance Engineer
Yolk Recruitment are supporting a global manufacturing organisation with the recruitment of a Maintenance Engineer for their Crumlin site working a 3-shift Pattern .
This is a rare opportunity which was previously recruited for 5 years ago, they are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join, playing a key role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safe and efficient operations across the site.
This is what you'll be doing
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll provide a full engineering service to production operations and site facilities, carrying out reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance activities across both electrical and mechanical systems. Working predominantly on a lone-working basis during your shift, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing and site equipment
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
- Diagnosing faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime and maintain production performance
- Supporting the installation of new equipment and modifications to existing machinery
- Assisting with maintenance planning activities and updating maintenance schedules through SAP CMMS
- Driving improvements in plant efficiency, reliability and productivity
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- Communicating effectively with production and engineering teams regarding maintenance issues and plant performance
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Working independently whilst also contributing to wider engineering improvement projects
The experience you'll bring to the team
We're looking for an electrically biased engineer with strong fault-finding capabilities and experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Completed an Electrical or Mechatronic Apprenticeship
- HNC/HND qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years' engineering maintenance experience within manufacturing
- Strong electrical fault finding skills with good mechanical understanding
- Experience carrying out reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of maintenance activities whilst lone working
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and production functions
- Experience using CMMS systems, ideally SAP
- 18th Edition qualification would be advantageous
- High Voltage Switching certification would be advantageous but is not essential
