Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business in the Bridlington area. Salary: £45,000 - £48,000, negotiable DOE Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm, with some flexibility Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays Working as part of a small, close-knit engineering team, you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, reducing downtime and helping to develop a more proactive, preventative approach to maintenance. The role: Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across production and packaging machinery Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and respond effectively to breakdowns Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, sensors, drives and inverters Work across mixing, cooking, forming, cooling, conveying and high-speed packaging equipment Fault find pneumatic systems, single and three-phase electrics and automated machinery Support PLC fault finding and diagnostics Assist with machinery installations, modifications and engineering improvements Carry out root cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve reliability and line performance Work closely with production while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety standardsAbout you: Previous maintenance engineering experience within food, FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ideally mechanically biased with good supporting electrical skills Confident fault finding across production and packaging machinery Ideally Level 3 Engineering qualified or equivalent Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership Happy working within a small engineering team where everyone gets involvedThis is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on and making a genuine difference, joining a friendly manufacturing business where your experience and ideas will be valued.
