Salary: £44,600 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-8:30pm
Contract: Permanent
A leading food manufacturing business in Bellshill is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join its on-site engineering team. This is a great opportunity to work in a modern, fast-paced FMCG environment where reliability, quality and continuous improvement are key.
The role:
You'll support production by completing planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and site services, minimising downtime and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the schedule
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and production issues
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Complete maintenance documentation and keep accurate records
- Monitor and manage spares/stock levels for critical parts
- Support continuous improvement projects to improve reliability and efficiency
- Liaise with production teams and management on engineering activity
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in FMCG/food manufacturing (or similar)
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance capability
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- Understanding of PPM systems and proactive maintenance
- Strong problem-solving approach
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
