Rather than simply maintaining existing machinery, you'll be involved in bringing new equipment online, solving problems and improving reliability from day one. The Role You'll play a key role in bringing new production equipment online and ensuring it performs reliably from day one. Your responsibilities will include: Installing and commissioning new machinery Supporting equipment testing and start-up Mechanical fault finding and problem solving Working alongside specialist engineers and suppliers Identifying improvements during commissioning Supporting the transition from project phase into full production Improving equipment reliability and performance You'll gain exposure to new machinery, commissioning, projects and automation, alongside your core mechanical engineering responsibilities. What We're Looking For Mechanical engineering experience within manufacturing Strong fault-finding and maintenance skills Experience with production machinery and automated equipment A proactive approach to problem solving Good communication and teamwork skills Food manufacturing experience would be advantageous but isn't essential. Additional qualifications such as electrical competency, IPAF or FLT licences would be beneficial, although training can be provided. Why Consider It? The real attraction here is development.
