As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be working on a Chemical Manufacturing plant on a days basis Monday to Friday. You will be working in a team of 3, performing preventative and reactive maintenance on process, mechanical and electrical equipment. Description As the Maintenance Engineer you will be tasked with the following; Maintain, repair, and install: Tanks, agitators, and mixing equipment / Pumps, gearboxes, and mechanical drive systems / GEMÜ valves and electric/pneumatic actuators / Water systems: Reverse Osmosis (RO), distilled, and ozonated water. Perform pipefitting for stainless steel and plastic process piping (glued, welded, or threaded). Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults (3-phase and single-phase). Read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics. Support plant modifications, installations, and upgrades. Ensure housekeeping within the engineering department is kept at a high standard. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Required Skills and Experience: Background in chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, or industrial process environments. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Proven experience with: GEMÜ valves and actuators / RO, distilled, ozonated, and deionised water systems / Pipefitting (plastic, stainless, or air) / Electrical systems (3-phase, single-phase motors, actuators). Profile A successful Maintenance Engineer should have: NVQ Level 3 / ONC / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required. 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred. COMPEX / ATEX training advantageous. Pipefitting or welding certifications advantageous. Job Offer Salary between £35,000 and £40,000 dependent on the level of experience. Pension scheme.
