Maintenance Operative Location: Multiple Sites Across London Pay: £15.72 Per Hour Contract: Full Time, temporary Requirements: Enhanced DBS is mandatory Are you a practical, hands-on Maintenance Operative looking for a role where your work has a real impact on people's lives? Catch 22 are working with a homeless charity in London and are looking for 2 temporary reliable Maintenance Operatives to support a portfolio of residential accommodation services, ensuring properties remain safe, functional and welcoming for residents. The Role As a Maintenance Operative, you'll be responsible for maintaining accommodation to a high standard, carrying out responsive repairs and planned maintenance works, while ensuring all health and safety requirements are met. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration works across multiple properties. Preparing void rooms and accommodation ready for new residents. Conducting property inspections and identifying maintenance requirements. Working closely with service teams, contractors and colleagues to coordinate repairs. Ensuring accommodation remains safe, compliant and well-presented. Completing maintenance records, job updates and inspection reports accurately. Purchasing and managing materials within agreed budgets. Supporting the delivery of planned improvement works across the housing portfolio. About You We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. You'll ideally have: Experience carrying out general property maintenance and repair works. An Enhanced DBS Check Knowledge of health and safety practices, risk assessments and safe systems of work. Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively. The ability to work independently across a variety of sites. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise workloads. Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach. Basic IT skills to update records and report completed works. Why Apply?
