Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Major Applications Team Leader to join a busy Local Authority planning service during a period of significant development activity. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing a high-performing Major Applications team and ensuring the timely progression and determination of complex planning applications. Key responsibilities of the Interim Head of Major Applications includes: Leading a team of Senior Planning Officers and an Assistant Team Leader Managing and supporting a team of planning professionals dealing with major planning applications Ensuring the effective progression of applications through the planning process Providing technical guidance and quality assurance on planning reports and recommendations Signing off officer reports and delegated decisions where appropriate Supporting officers in preparing and presenting applications to Planning Committee Driving performance improvements and helping to expedite decision-making processes Working collaboratively with senior officers, members and external stakeholders Ensuring a high-quality and customer-focused planning service is delivered To be ...
