A leading FTSE 250 manufacturing business based in Barnsley is looking for an ambitious Management Accountant to join its established finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant who is looking for a role where they can make a real commercial impact, develop their leadership skills and have a clear career path towards Financial Controller. Preparing weekly trading figures and providing insight into site performance
Preparing weekly and monthly stock valuations, including provisions
Producing factory KPI information and weekly performance reports
Preparing and analysing sales and margin reports
Preparing costings for new products
Providing commercial analysis and supporting business scenario modelling
Monitoring, maintaining and continually improving the accuracy of the site cost model
Evaluating capital expenditure proposals and providing financial recommendations
Managing and developing two members of the finance team You will be a qualified Accountant with strong commercial awareness, ideally gained within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent IT skills and confidence working with financial systems and Excel
The drive and ambition to progress your career
Excellent communication and presentation skills
A proactive approach and the confidence to challenge and influence
