RECfinancial are currently recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant, on a full-time basis. Working with a successful engineering company based in Leicester. Our client is a market leader within their sector, this is a unique opportunity for a dedicated and meticulous Management Accountant to join their team for an interim position. Collaborating with an experienced Finance Manager to further develop and refine the successful applicants skillset.Commutable from Leicester, Thurmaston, Birstall, Syston and Leicestershire Main role of Management Accountant: Act as deputy to the Finance Manager during any periods of absence. Ensure the ongoing accuracy and integrity of financial reports, systems, and accounting data within the team. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize existing workflows, enhance productivity, and control costs within the business. Plus be able to provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. This is a great opportunity for a Management Accountant wanting to work with a bigger finance department for a well established engineering company. Responsibilities of the Management Accountant include: Provide effective management accounting support, within the Finance team

Complete monthly reviews, various journal entries and corrections within a set deadline.

Assist with the submission of accurate VAT and IPR returns

Responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts,

Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly accounts.

Complete back up documentation on a regular basis

Explanation of variances from plan and implementation

Assisted responsibility for the financial accounting

Assist with the preparation of monthly hedge balance sheet forecasts

Responsible for ensuring foreign currency is correctly recorded, including currency revaluations and changing currency rates

Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory financial accounts

To continually strive to improve and simplify procedures and systems

Ideal Skills and experience: Ideal experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills

Driven and adaptable to constant change and streamlining.

Ability to work as part of a larger Finance team

ACCA/CIMA qualified with demonstrable relevant experience
