Management Accountant - Temp

Location: Near Cambridge (Hybrid - 2 days per week) Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract (Potential to Extend) Rate: Circa £60,000 FTE or competitive day rate Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing business near Cambridge to recruit a qualified Management Accountant for an initial six-month interim assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding organisation that is creating a new position within its finance team. The role is being introduced on an interim basis to support continued growth, with the intention of assessing the long-term need for the position. As a result, there is genuine potential for the contract to be extended or converted into a permanent role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the monthly management accounts process while supporting a range of ongoing finance and business improvement projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts Lead month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances Produce insightful financial analysis and management reporting Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and challenge Contribute to ongoing finance projects and process improvement initiatives Assist with the continued development of the finance function as the business grows About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Previous experience producing full management accounts within a commercial environment Strong month-end accounting experience Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems Experience using Xero would be advantageous, although not essential Available to start immediately or at short notice Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
