A leading UK infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to support the delivery of a major, long-term infrastructure programme in Kent.
This is a senior commercial position offering the opportunity to take ownership of the commercial function across a complex project and work closely with senior operational and project leadership.
As Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial leadership across the project, with responsibility for financial performance, commercial strategy and the development of the wider commercial team.
Leading the commercial team across the project
Developing and implementing commercial strategy
Managing project financial performance
Managing change, compensation events and variations
Overseeing subcontract procurement and commercial management
Managing commercial risk and opportunities
Providing commercial advice to senior project stakeholders
Managing commercial disputes and resolution strategies
Monitoring project performance against budgets and forecasts
Leading commercial reviews with senior management
Supporting the wider business with commercial governance and best practice
Significant commercial management experience within infrastructure, civil engineering or major construction
Experience managing a commercial team
Excellent knowledge of commercial forecasting and reporting
Strong contract knowledge, ideally including NEC
Experience managing complex projects and significant work packages
A relevant degree/HNC/HND or equivalent commercial qualificationThis is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager looking to take a senior role on a long-term, technically challenging infrastructure programme.
