The RoleDue to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Manual Machinist to join a long-established engineering business specialising in the manufacture of high-quality machinery and precision components. Working within an established workshop team, the Manual Machinist will be responsible for producing precision parts using a range of manual machinery, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely and to required quality standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical engineering, problem solving and working as part of a skilled manufacturing team.
- Operating manual machinery including lathes, milling machines, drills, presses and an NC band saw to produce precision parts
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to produce components accurately
- Carrying out quality checks using calibrated measuring equipment
- Making adjustments to ensure work meets required ISO quality standards
- Understanding machining techniques and applying them to day-to-day production work
- Troubleshooting machinery and supporting basic maintenance to ensure efficient operation
