Manufacturing Engineer Up to £45,000 Loughborough (Onsite) Our client, a leader across the automotive and aerospace sectors, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Loughborough on a permanent, onsite basis.

You'll lead the development of manufacturing, assembly and test processes across a diverse product range.
The role You'll work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Product Development and Supply Chain to embed Design for Excellence (DfX) into product designs and ensure new and existing products can be built and tested efficiently, at scale, and to the required quality and certification standards.
Key responsibilities Embed DfX / DFM / DFA / DFT principles into product design and process definition Drive NPI activity and improve Manufacturing Readiness Levels to meet cost/quality/delivery targets Develop and implement manufacturing, assembly and standardised test processes through gated engineering reviews Identify improved materials, methods and process routes while maintaining quality and compliance Develop in-house and supplier capability with the Quality team Support supplier selection and management for prototype and series production , including process sign-off Transfer/validate manufacturing and test capability to external partners when required Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and KPIs ; support shop-floor/plant layout efficiency Support cost models and manufacturing cost analysis (cost-down / volume scenarios) Mentor and support junior engineers / new starters What we're looking for Proven experience in manufacturing engineering for complex technical products xwzovoh (prototype through to production) Strong knowledge of manufacturing, assembly and test process development Confidence working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders (technical and non-technical) Strong communication skills and a practical, solution-focused approach Comfortable using MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook) Package Salary: Up to £45,000 Permanent Onsite, Loughborough Development and progression opportunities within a supportive engineering environment Comprehensive benefits package
