Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer Aerospace Engineering Romford, Essex Permanent A well-invested aerospace precision engineering business is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer to join its engineering team. This is a technically focused role supporting the manufacture of complex aerospace components, with responsibility for programming, process development, tooling, fixtures and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities * Create and optimise 3, 4 and 5axis CNC programmes * Develop manufacturing processes, routings and setup methods * Design and implement workholding and fixture solutions * Select tooling and support process improvement activities * Drive firsttime-right production and reduce manufacturing inefficiencies * Liaise with production, quality and engineering teams on new and existing products * Support the introduction of new components into manufacture Requirements * Proven CNC programming experience in a precision engineering environment * Strong understanding of 3, 4 and 5axis machining * Experience developing manufacturing methods and setup strategies * Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications * Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly desirable * Hypermill experience would be advantageous What’s on offer * Highly competitive salary * Healthcare benefits * Flexible working hours * Generous holiday allowance * Opportunity to influence manufacturing processes and engineering standards * Longterm career progression within a growing aerospace business This role offers genuine engineering responsibility and would suit someone who enjoys solving manufacturing problems, improving processes and working on technically demanding aerospace components
