Our client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric propulsion technology, requires a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join its dynamic team todevelop, improve, and support the operations manufacturing processes and equipment to enable volume production of its products to customers.

This is a contract role outside IR35.
R esponsibilities: Evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, testing, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators Supporting manufacturing demand by relieving bottlenecks and problem-solving production constraints; attending breakdowns and reacting efficiently to escalation from manufacturing teams Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturers instructions and established procedures; requesting special service Requirements: A degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent Experience working within an automotive or aerospace Tier 1 in a manufacturing environment Good understanding of continuous improvement xwzovoh methods and lean techniques Familiar with process techniques and documentation such as FMEAs, process flows, work instructions, control plans etc.
Hands-on experience with bespoke equipment, tooling, and automation Good understanding of design for assembly and manufacturing constraints for high-volume manufacture Confident with both internal and external customers and suppliers, able to detail requirements and understand issues Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
