Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing business working on a permanent basis near Poynton. Salary is c£50,000 per annum plus 33 days' holiday, Pension, Healthcare, Medical and Life Assurance etc, Duties for the Manufacturing Engineer role: This is a hands-on role focused on the introduction of new components and processes into production, with particular emphasis on CNC machining and stainless steel components. You will be responsible for developing robust manufacturing methods, improving CNC tooling and machining processes, and supporting the successful introduction of new products into production. Key Responsibilities * Develop and optimise CNC programmes offline using CAM software such as FeatureCAM, Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360 or similar. * Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models and technical specifications to generate accurate toolpaths. * Support CNC machining trials and production activities when required. * Lead the manufacturing introduction of new components from design release through to full production. * Define and document manufacturing processes, machining strategies and standard methods. * Work closely with Design Engineering to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture. * Specify, develop and update CNC tooling...
