Manufacturing Technician 6 Months initial contract with possiblity to extent depending on performance. Rate £18.00/h. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing technical duties in one of the functional areas: electronic, mechanical or systems. The Manufacturing Technician complete tests, measurements, operations and process controls. Responsibilities Perform technical duties on functional work group projects. Employ test techniques and procedures for key cell projects. Use job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers and bills of material. Maintain production tools and equipment. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose product, process or program defects and repair them. Ensure ability to: read blueprints; identify components; perform wire preparation, stripping and crimping; perform harness repair and termination; use pertinent manual hand tools. Maintain skills in electronics, hydraulics and mechanical assemblies, automated machine operation and programming. * Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement. Experience & Exposures: Technology or Manufacturing Centre Production Workflow Technical Investigation Support Production Test Production Assembly Rates for this role Standard Rate (ST) · Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 15:45 · Friday: 07:00 – 11:30 Overtime Rates (OT) – (DT) · Any overtime beyond the standard hours above (excluding Sundays): 1.5× (time and a half) (OT) · Sundays and Public Holidays: 2× (double time) (DT) Backshift Rate (BACK) · Backshift uplift: 20% · Overtime on Backshift: Paid at 1.5× (time and a half), same as dayshift overtime. The back shift has a small overlap at the end of the day starts at 15.45 finishes 00:45. Interested please apply
