We're recruiting for a Materials Coordinator to join our well-established client in Loughborough on a full time, permanent basis.
Salary: £36,000 per annum.
Hours: 39 hours per week working 07:45 - 16:45 Monday - Thursday and 07:45 - 14:15 Friday.
The Role:
As a Materials Coordinator, you will efficiently and cost effectively manage steel sections and stock control through our clients ERP system to coordinate jobs for the pre-fabrication team on CNC Machines.
This is an office based role coordinating jobs therefore requires someone with strong IT skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Comply with all quality policies, specification, regulations, and instructions.
Responsible for all ERP system data management and input relating to Production output.
Keep ERP system up to date in line with Project Programmes and shop floor progress.
Liaise with Materials Handlers to manage and track inventory.
CNC Programming for section nesting and plate nesting for issue to the Prep Department while tracking items through the inventory system. Select the suitable machine for the task.
Have a good understanding of existing machinery and how it operates to maximise efficiency.
Understand, read and interpret technical drawings to identify specific machining requirements.
Cost effectively schedules and programme machines to suit workload. Ensure daily production requirements are met.
Ensure job specific material traceability requirements are met through the correct use of relevant systems.
Planning all prep work across Group
Designating prep resource to the to ensure correct skill set is used most efficiently.
Working to prep by dates set by the Production Planner.
Working with Production Managers to ensure all prep targets are met and both companies are serviced equally.
Essential Requirements:
Excellent IT skills and confidence to use and learn new systems.
Ideally experience programming CNC machines.
Ideally to have experience of manufacturing production processes.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and schedule work.
Ability to thoroughly understand, read and interpret technical drawings.
Analytically thinking with the ability to interpret information and respond quickly in a logical and methodical way.
Proactive approach to resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
