Materials Handler

Meridian business support is recruiting for a Materials Handler / FLT driver for a Company based in Stone Cross Business Park, Golborne area. Main purpose of the role - To ensure the control and flow of raw materials to the production department is optimized. Works closely with other team members to mitigate any material impacts on the production plan. Duties include: To ensure the control of raw material is optimized for the department Support line technician with material changes Loading and unloading of materials for the department (use of FLT) Ensure all areas within the job scope are maintained to high level of housekeeping To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with good H&S practice Works with other departments to ensure the material flow is in accordance with the production plan General cleaning duties brushing a hoovering around the production area Experience Required: Previously held a position within a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment ideally supporting movement of products and/or materials Excellent team player and can communicate effectively Knowledge and awareness of health and safety procedures within a busy manufacturing environmentPreferable: Hold valid FLT license / Counterbalance (training provided if needed) Hours & Shifts:  2 x day shift 6AM - 6PM / 2 x night shift 6PM - 6AM then 4 x days OFF Pay Rate: £ 13.49 per hour after 42 hours £ 20.24 per hour Immediate start available / Weekly pay Meridian Business Support is a recruitment specialist acting on behalf of our client as an Employment Business for this vacancy
