Mazatrol CNC Machinist (Weekend Shift)

Our World leading client has an immediate requirement for several CNC Machinists for their new Weekend Shift. Successful candidates will be highly experienced with running complex 5 axis machining centres, ideally using Mazatrol Smooth operating software. Setting and operating of 5 axis CNC machining centres for the manufacture of high precision, high quality, and low volume machined parts used in the assembly of critical systems supplied to the maritime industry. Responsible for machining of parts on 5 axis CNC machining centres Stropping, lifting and loading materials (use of slings and overhead cranes) Working to engineering drawings and making CNC programming edits Undertaking program prove out activities, parts measurement and inspection Ensuring product quality and conformance to specification Perform machine TPM activities and ensure good area housekeeping Work safely in line with the companies Health and Safety policy High level of competency in setting and operating 5 axis machining centres. Setup and machining of castings using dial indicators and probes Indentured apprenticeship or HNC / HND in a highly relevant engineering discipline CNC programming of parts including program generation, editing offline programme Mazatrol program edit and creation 5 years (min) engineering experience within the manufacturing industry 5 years (min) CNC programming knowledge CI experience (Lean 7 wastes) Computer literate (Microsoft) Manual handling, slinging and lifting, and use of cranes up to 3T Quality first mindset and ability to follow process and company standards The weekend shift will be on 12hr Days & Nights across Friday, Saturday and Sunday (36hrs).
