Role & Responsibilities
MCTS is a sophisticated and versatile training platform used by the Royal Navy providing state of the art classroom and simulation training facilities delivering maritime warfare training in controlled environments.
MCTS Maintainers play a pivotal part in ensuring training equipment is prepared and ready for use; defects are promptly addressed; spares are controlled; and Customer KPI requirements are met on a daily basis. Accountable directly to the MCTS Lead Maintainer; working both individually and as part of a dual-site team, maintainers will work with a variety of modern simulation and training technology solutions, ensuring their readiness for training and seamless provision during the training day.
Working in a fast moving commercial/military environment, where swift response is required to emerging issues and defects, MCTS Maintainers must be suitably experienced in this field and flexible in their approach and response to a complex series of possible calls on their expertise.
Responsibilities
- Systems Familiarity: Maintainers are responsible for, and must develop, sustainable working competency to promptly solve a variety of operating issues/defects on Customer Furnished and Government Furnished equipment's (CFE and GFE) which form the MCTS TE outfit.
Preventative/Corrective Maintenance: Undertake general, routine, preventative and corrective maintenance activities for MCTS systems and support equipment to assure continuity of service.
Required experience
- Previous Experience of configuring, installing, maintaining a range software; System Start-up and Shutdowns.
Desirable experience
- Awareness of RN warfare equipment and methodologies.
