We are looking for multiple Mechanical Design Engineers to join a well-established engineering team delivering innovative solutions across the UK nuclear sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within a highly regulated environment while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to contribute to major nuclear programmes. The Role As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across a range of nuclear projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you'll support projects from concept through to detailed design, ensuring designs meet client specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities * Produce high-quality mechanical designs for nuclear engineering projects * Develop designs from concept through to detailed design and manufacture * Prepare and review engineering drawings, models and technical documentation * Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams * Participate in design reviews and support engineering change activities * Ensure designs comply with quality, safety and regulatory requirements * Support the successful delivery of complex projects within a highly regulated environment What We're Looking For * Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer * Experience delivering projects within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry * Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering best practice * Ability to produce high-quality engineering documentation * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team Desirable Experience * Detailed design within the nuclear industry * Safety-critical engineering projects * Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and quality processes * Experience using industry-standard 3D CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, Creo or Siemens NX * Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership What's On Offer? * Hybrid working available * Competitive salary/rate depending on experience * Opportunity to work on major UK nuclear programmes * Collaborative and supportive engineering environment * Long-term project work with excellent career development opportunities * Modern offices based in Winchester * Ongoing professional development and career progression Interested?
