Conrad Consulting are looking for a Mechanical Estimator with 1–2 years' experience to join a well-established and growing building services contractor. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role Of The Mechanical Estimator

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of mechanical building services projects. Working closely with senior estimators, project managers, suppliers, and clients, you'll play a key role in securing new business and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Of The Mechanical Estimator

  • Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Produce accurate take-offs and cost plans.
  • Assist with value engineering and alternative proposals.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Requirements Of The Mechanical Estimator

  • 1–2 years' experience in a Mechanical Estimator role within the building services or M&E sector.
  • Good understanding of mechanical building services installations.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software is advantageous.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
