Mechanical Fitter Colchester £35,000 - £38,000 £50,000 OTE + Bonus + Overnight Allowances + Excellent Benefits Are you a Mechanical Engineer / Field Service Fitter who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving and travelling to customer sites? Escape Recruitment is working with an established engineering business that is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of technically interesting projects while receiving ongoing training and genuine long-term career development. This role offers plenty of variety, with time spent installing, commissioning, servicing and fault finding on specialist mechanical equipment at customer sites throughout the UK. The Role Installing and commissioning mechanical equipment on customer sites Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis Conducting site inspections and producing survey reports Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation Working closely with customers and colleagues to deliver projects safely and efficiently Travelling throughout the UK, including regular overnight stays Supporting workshop activities when required What We're Looking For A recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical qualification Strong mechanical fitting and maintenance experience Excellent fault-finding skills Full UK Driving Licence A flexible approach to travelling and staying away when required What's On Offer Competitive salary with realistic earnings up to £50,000 OTE Annual bonus Overnight allowance and additional stay-away payments Pension scheme Life assurance Sick pay 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Ongoing training and development Excellent long-term career progression Supportive team environmentIf you're looking for a varied field-based engineering role with excellent earning potential and long-term career prospects, we'd love to hear from you
